Quartet Project

Calling all interested Strings Players

If you enjoy performing, are up for the challenge of working as a small group, and want to learn some new music … then this ensemble could be for you.

Once you have chosen the members of your quartet ( 2 violins, viola and cello) from friends in your class or the other classes, that play close to the same level as you, then please email the registration sheet to Mrs. Pelletier for approval. Once you get her approval, she will get your first Quartet Book ready for you and you can start.

At first you will be expected to practice individually so you learn all the songs before you meet up with your quartet. There will be 1 Masterclass with the more advanced quartets teaching the repetoire Stay tuned for the dates coming up for it. Afterwards, you and your quartet will be expected to work out a schedule and practice together either at school afterschool or at each other's homes.

Those quartets who begin to show that they are developing well, will be given opportunities to perform at school and outside of school. Once the entire first booklet is mastered by the quartet, a more advanced booklet will be distributed. Once part of this booklet is mastered, you will move to the next stage of performances. At this time you will get professional outfits made. Here are some of the places previous Quartets have performed.
